Hope for Bright, Bright, Sunshiny Days
Hi,
I was watching one of my favorite programs—CBS Sunday Morning—last weekend and they did their annual review of people we had lost in 2020. Does anyone remember the late singer and Houston native Johnny Nash who died at 80 this year?
The commentator drew a comparison between this “dark year” and Nash’s #1 uplifting single “I Can See Clearly Now the Rain Is Gone.” He went on to share that the song reminded him that courage and kindness usually triumph in the end, even during tough times like we have had this past year.
He continued with acknowledging that the “sun is not out just yet and that he hoped it is just over the horizon.” But the segment ended despite it all with the hopeful lyrics of Nash’s song reassuring us, “It’s going to be a bright, bright, bright sunshiny day.”
All of us at Valley Eye Radio wish you all many “bright, bright sunshiny days” of new hope in 2021 as we begin to believe that the “rain” really is going to go away.
If you would like to help our listeners have “sunnier” days ahead full of new hope that our accessible broadcasts bring to their lives, please consider a donation. Today is the last day of the year 2020 and we are getting closer to our end of year goal.
